The Ultimate Question: Star Wars or Star Trek?
Ever wonder what the diffidences are, or what is better, well read on my friends.
So I was watching Star Trek last night ( ye haha what a geek) and, well, it was quite interesting!
Ye we got the Weird guy with pointy ears and the captain who cant speak… in…full…senten…ces(seriously what is up with that) we also got the pshyco doctor and all, so then just a random thought popped in my head… What are some the diffrences between Star Trek and Star Wars also…which is better?
So i did some research on the two and found many interesting answers, so here i will tell you 3 facts and diffrences
1. Star Trek was created well over 20 years befor Star Wars and George Lucas got some of his ideas from Star Trek, Infact George Lucas was a Star Trek fan himself.
The first Episode of Star Trek TOS aired Spetember 8th, 1966, where as Star Wars: A New Hope was released in theatres May 25th, 1977.

2. Even though Star Trek was released first it didn’t have the type of special effects Star Wars had
Star Wars: A New Hope introduced all sorts of new Special Effects to the movie world and was outstanding, While Star Trek was a bit disapointing with special effects, Though i can not blame them as Star Trek was created a good 20 – 30 years earlier, and did exceptionally well for its time.
3. Star Trek takes place right here in our own Galaxy, the home planet for us Humans being Earth, While Star Wars ( as said in the oppening scene) takes place in a Galaxy far, far away… Where it is controled by a great Galactic Empire and many diffrent races of aliens.
While in Star Trek the aliens look like humans with diffrent color, or an added antena or something to make them look at least a bit diffrent, In Star Wars there isn’t such a great resemblance, the movie was made really well with the diffrences of aliens from humans.

Quite interesting, but I always found Star Wars somewhat boring. Star Trek makes you think about the future and in Star Trek they don’t focus on one storyline, in almost every episode there are at least two separate plots going on. Also, I believe many people, including me, are interested in the culture and technology of all the races.
