Finally a film that actually describes the realism in our war against terrorism. The Hurt Locker truely gives an in depth picture for all of us Americans to understand what it is like for our brothers and sisters to fight against unrulingly foes.
Every story I hear from my friends across seas is so much different from what the media and our government tells and shows us. They talk of how they have to have everyone watch eachothers backs and their own just to survive.
In this thriving edge on your seat film, a bomb squad goes around and disarms bombs that are potentially aimed at caravans trying to secure the area. The plot itself could not be any farther from the truth. There are scenes that show a soldier disobeying orders to get the job done swifter. Not that it may be the safe way to do it, or the easy way but it will keep many men from harms way.
In the film you will expierence knowing what it is like to deal with Al Quida and other terrorism attires. They use childrens bodies for bombs, force men and women to strap a dozen to two dozen c4 charges on themselves.
From suicide bombers to action sniper scenes this film is beyond exciting, and will live on with many of the other great war films of our life times. I give this film four out of five stars.
