Upon its release in February, 2007, “Taken” has sparked a fire that has spread internationally with an uproar of praise. Jan. 30 of this is year it finally reached the US.

While the characters’ motivations certainly bring up issues worth discussion, the plot and characters may have become much deeper with a different background for the antagonists.

Taken: A Review
I was lucky enough to go to a free screening of Taken and was pleasantly surprised. Although the plot and entire film were largely predictable and played a little too much into American’s “fear of abroad,” it left me feeling like this was time worth spent.
