Ridley Scott’s Alien: the Monstrous-feminine
The science-fiction horror film Alien explores fears associated with birth and sexuality. Barbara Creed wrote an important essay on the film called ‘Alien and the Monstrous-Feminine.’ The monstrous-feminine is a psychological construction generated by male anxieties about the female body and sexuality. Creed argues that Alien depicts the maternal body as horrifying or monstrous. In particular, she says that the film repeatedly examines the ‘primal scene’ – the scene of birth or origin.

Stargate Sg1: Thinking Out Loud
Really opens your mind. Wow! Well I just kinda of started watching it and it raises religion and all sorts of questions. Like space and the body of the alien found was that real and could that possibly be a guardian or protector type race? I don’t know just aiming towards why my mind started flying in so many directions because of all the come out and cover ups our people do have the tendency to do. Because most of us are followers than leaders. We are made out to be ignorant and uninformed. So we have to accept if the western days did not prove that we can stay in control of ourselves without blood shed we may be able to have 100% control of ourselves.
