The Dark Knight, Batman
Everything you need to know about the hit movie and what a thriller it is.
“Out of the darkness….there comes the Knight”, the dark knight to be exact. Gotham City’s number one vigilante superhero is back and ready for more crime fighting, nerve racking and foot stomping action. But this time the stakes are higher, the heists bigger and the villains meaner. But as the saying goes “the bigger they are the hard they fall” and as Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) and his alter ego Batman face the biggest challenge of their lives, its good to know that they have a little help from District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). Not only are the villains meaner but their ‘badder”, but what would you expect from the criminal, psychotic mastermind Joker (Heath Ledger). But this time Batman will not only have to fight off the joker but fight off part of him.
The story takes flight as the criminal warlords of Gotham discuss how to get ride of the giant bat shaped pain and incomes a new villain, a man whose face has been altered due to a horrid chemical spill; the Joker. He tells the other warlords that he will get ride of the Batman for them and Gotham will be theirs for the taking. The high action movie is a new adventure every second and it should be because its director is Christopher Nolan, a man who knows his way around the Bat mobile. Bruce Wayne and his crime fighting alter ego, not only fight villains in this movie, he also fights a part of himself when Gotham city suddenly decided that they don’t need a crime fighting super hero to watch over them and that he is use less to the town. Bruce decides to hang up the cape and leave the crime fighting to Harvey Dent.
The Joker, probably the greatest threat Batman ever faced, just doesn’t know when to quit, he gets beat and hit again and again but it never seems to work he just gets back up and for his final trick, he kidnaps the new district attorney and Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) whose is the love of Batman’s life, and threatens to blow them both up, but cunningly puts them in different builds across town and so when one bomb is taken out the other one blows up, who does Batman choose? Watch the Dark Knight to find out.
