Mayan Calendar Predicts Doomsday in 2012

Here is a revie of the movie 2012.

Is December 2012 predicted as the expiry date for the Earth and the beginning of a new world Circa 0001. It certainly is with the movie 2012 which is a science-fiction adventure. The movie casts the people of the United States on a run battling apocalyptic blues where the Sun is sending extra heat due to which the planet Earth has a destabilizing crust. The movie takes a long turn with the last 40 minutes of drama inside a submarine brimming over the survivors, handpicked on different parameters. The characters in the movie are remarkable with the US president played by Danny Glover, then there’s the mad prophet of doom cum a radio jockey played by Woody Harrelson, The scheming wannabe President of the new world played by Oliver Platt and a couple of other characters trying to re-bond with their families.

The movie characterizes wiping off all the famous monuments like the White house is washed away, the Eiffel Tower is knocked down, the Sistine Chapel cracks up and the California falls into the sea. End of the world movies have always been engaging with director Roland Emmerich with ending the world time on celluloid epics.  Once again he churns the oceans, cracks up the earth and sends fire balls to create a catalytic effect on humanity as earlier depicted in movies like Independence Day, The day after Tomorrow and Godzilla. Despite the movie being low on emotional quotient, 2012 definitely is an entertainer due to its visual splendor.
