The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth is a recent movie that a person can either still find in theaters or one could wait until  the movie’s later release on DVD.

This movie stars Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy, Knocked up) and Gerald Butler (P.S. I Love You) two characters whom have a complete disinterest in one anothers way of seeing the opposite sex. Abby played by Heigl is a controlling TV producer working for a TV station which is receiving low viewer ratings. Gerald’s character Mike is hired to do a segment about “The Ugly Truth” -how (All) men truly see women.  Will Mike be able to change the ratings with his way of seeing women? Will Abby change her ways of being the controlling woman with a list for her potential daters? I recommend checking out this movie if your a female and if your a male I also recommend checking it out.

Warning: it is Rated R so you should be prepared the movie is a bit dirty. Mostly due to language, with the F-bomb being dropped a few times. Heigl also says the other word for a Rooster multiple times in one scene.

Overall I recommend seeing this movie with a few friends. The movie provides some good moments of laughter but again be prepared it’s a little dirty language wise. But I feel the message throughout the movie and outcome has good balance.
