The Five Greatest Sex Scenes in Cinema

It’s funny that many film directors in the 21st century don’t know how to make a good sex scene. It’s all about some bad music, soft lights and partial nudity. But were did seducing, passion and excitement go? Luckily, there are some shiny examples of how things should be done.

Stealing Beauty (1996)

Liv Tyler acts a young American girl with Italian roots who comes to visit her homeland. Over there she renews her friendship with a young Italian boy with whom she fell in love on her last visit several years ago. A beautiful intro to an even better sex scene, don’t you say?

As being a virgin, Lucy is very careful and makes sure she’ll remember this for the rest of her life. And she sure will, but so are all of us who watched this great film with a sex scene to match. Way to go, Bertolucci!

The Dreamers (2003)

Michael Pitt plays a young American exchange student in Paris. Over there he makes new friends, very passionate and strange French girl (Eva Green) and her brother. The situation becomes complicated when the three of them find themselves in a love triangle.

Some film directors try to be original when taping sex scenes, but Bertolucci is not trying. He is original! We have another virgin over here, and a young American who was willing to play the game.

The Piano (1993)

Holly Hunter plays a mute and beautiful Ada. She had a really though life, and now is being tormented by her new husband. Things got complicated when he sells her piano to a neighbor, who is played by Harvey Keitel.
Everyone saw this coming. There was just too much tension between Ada and George. The rest is history.

Secretary (2002)

Maggie Gyllenhaal plays a smart, young woman who just got back from mental hospital. She got herself a job as a secretary in a law firm. As with many secretaries, she soon falls in love with her boss (James Spader).
Many people say that this is their greatest sex scene ever. No wonder when it all starts with hot tub and ends up in a grass-covered bed. But the true strength of this scene lies in love that the two of them showed to one another. This makes it a sweet erotic masterpiece.

Nine 1/2 Weeks (1986)

Kim Basinger plays a woman who gets involved in affair with a man she barely knows (Mickey Rourke).
Many people like blindfolds, but you don’t see them in movies enough. Strawberries and ice on a naked body just add to already hot atmosphere. Seducing, passion and excitement, this sex scene has it all.
