Rekindle Your Love with Fireproof
Fireproof is one of those unique movies that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. Intense relationship, realistic humor, and recovered love are the headliners. But be ready for your world to be rocked.
Fireproof is an intense romantic comedy. It will make you laugh. It will cause you to cry. It will change your relationship forever.
Kirk Cameron stars as a fireman who leads his men with courage and valor while being a total wimp at home. Erin Bethea is a successful career woman who loses her desire for her man and whose heart is recaptured by a wounded co-worker.
Most romantic comedies hit the mark when lovers pass each other in the night, striking out at love, and laughing at themselves. Not Fireproof.
Fireproof is confrontational. Husband in wife’s face. Think worst ever arguments. Think verbal abuse. See a wounded woman walk away. Watch a public hero be embarrassed in his own neighborhood.
The genius is that this will be one of the funniest movies you’ll see all year. The humor comes in the form of relatable real life situations.
I had no idea what to expect going into this movie. I came away stunned:
- Stunned at how easily a husband and wife can drift apart.
- Stunned at the potency of committed affection.
- Stunned at the deceit found in our hearts – in my own heart.
- Stunned that if we want it, we will have a wonderful marriage. Yes, I was stunned and I’ve been married for 18 years.
I walked away both with a desire to love my wife more deeply and fearful of the consequences of failure.
But mostly I came away encouraged that love can be rediscovered.
Need to refresh your relationship? Go and watch Fireproof! It will burn away the dross that hinders your love and rekindle your heart for your mate.

Fireproof will also entertain you with great dialogues, funny exchanges, and first class humor. Click here for one of the best scenes (after arriving, click on the He Said/She Said scene).
That scene is indicative of the decent acting and likable script that makes Fireproof a movie worth going out for. I also thought the fireman scenes were realistic and impressive, with one particularly hair-raising scenario.
Another good tune from the movie is entitled You Belong to Me
Fireproof is one of those unique movies that makes you laugh and cry at the same time because the scenes are well done and hit close to home. I recommend Fireproof for every married couple. It will renew your passion for your relationship. It will help you to rediscover the love you first had.
If you are single and looking for that life partner, Fireproof will give you hope.
But beware. This movie is not the lovey-dovey warm feelings type of movie. It is intense. It will rock your world and you’ll be wondering why you stepped into the theater. Hang in there, the payoff is well worth waiting for.

You have certainly piqued my interest in Fireproof with this review.Nicely done.

You told about the movie well! you made it interesting, yet didn’t tell enough about the movie to mess it up for others to want to see. It is a must see movie for me! If it ever comes my way, we live in such a small town we are the last to get all the good movies but I will be watching and waiting for it. You peaked my interest.

I haven’t seen this yet and now I want to see it even more. We all need a little intensity once in a while so we can deal with real life. Real life isn’t all laughter and it isn’t all tears – BUT IT IS INTENSE. Great article!

This is a great movie indeed! I’ve been married over 21 years and I was stunned at the impact it had on me.
this was a great movie!
This last Sunday, my church plays just a little part of this movie, and the whole congregation was in tears, so I went and rented it to watch…It was really inspiring how things I can work out if your hearts are in what you’re committing!
Great review!
I haven’t seen the movie, but if it’s half as good as the article you wrote promoting it then i’m in for a treat. Very well written article Brian. Kirk Cameron is a very good actor who has made a lot of religious movies since his early days on television. Well done friend.
