Twilight Saga

An epic that has made millions crazy all over the world!

Stephanie Meyer, a 35 year old mother, a wife and a youth idol came up with the idea of her first novel, ‘Twilight’ in a dream. She dreamt of two people standing in a meadow with sunlight sparkling over them. One of them was an ordinary girl next door while the other, a beautiful boy, sparkling body, a vampire. They were talking about how he loved her but also how he wanted to kill her.  Stephanie, having all her household chores piling up, stayed in bed and thought about the dream.  And thus she began writing without knowing that she was going to be the author of a worldwide phenomenon.

Twilight, the first book of Stephanie’s series was published in October 2005. A story of forbidden love (depicted by the apple on its cover), revolves around Bella, an ordinary young girl with an extraordinary story. Bella moves to Forks to be with her dad, because she wanted to give her mum and her new boyfriend some space. While in Forks, she meets and falls in love with a vampire and as if that was not bad enough, she also becomes friends with a werewolf. While Edward and Jacob (ware wolf) both fall in love with Bella, both are enemies by birth. This book received an amazing response from all over the world and motivated Stephanie to write the story forward.

With ‘New Moon’ she gave movie quite a spin. Bella had been going out with her vampire boyfriend Edward for six blissfully happy months.  The only thing that worried her was his steadfast refusal to even consider making her into a vampire like him.  Edward suddenly became  more distant towards to Bella and finally he tells her that he and his family are leaving Forks, to never return, and he no longer wants to see her, for her own safety. Edward is Bella’s whole world and his abandonment is a harsh blow.  Her whole world falls apart and as she becomes withdrawn from the world she soon loses most of her friends becoming even more isolated and lonely. For fantasy fans New Moon isn’t all about Bella and her emotional pain.  The rogue vampires Laurent and Victoria return to Forks.  They were looking for revenge against Edward but they only find Bella.  The Quileute werewolves were an exciting addition and this book too got an amazing response much more than twilight.

As the movie came out, people swarmed to the cinemas like a tornado. With fans of twilight being in a majority there were also people who just came to see Kristen Stuart and Robert Pattinson.

The movie New Moon also received an amazing and blockbuster response from audience worldwide. This movie broke many records but most importantly it made people hungry for more.

Eclipse carried on not long after New Moon left off.  Bella’s high school graduation was approaching and she was soon be leaving Forks forever, ostensibly to go to college – but in reality she was planning to join her boyfriend in his vampire existence and would therefore be unable to return home, due to being dead and possessed by a terrible blood lust for the first few years.  Not that the reader was actually taken that far in this story, we make it through graduation but then the dangerous vampires from Seattle come to Forks and dealing with them dominates the rest of the novel. The movie however, was a little boring, but this did not reduce the number of people willing to and coming to see the film.

Breaking dawn is book I don’t want to ruin the suspense of or if you are a twilight fan you have read it already. The movie ,however, will be released in two parts with the first part coming up this November. The trailer itself is amazing, you can watch it below. I’m sure you wont be able to resist watching the movie after this.
