Trick ‘R Treat

A movie review.

I absolutely loved this! It was hilarious, it was scary, it was creepy, it had Anna Paquin! (I have a small crush on her) It is a few short stories that intertwine quite nicely into one another. There was just the right amount of blood and guts. The make-up and costumes fit very well. Acting was right on. I plan on buying a copy for myself.

Gore: 3/5 : They didn’t skimp on the slice and dice, but they also didn’t take it overboard. I personally prefer the nice balance. There are a couple scenes that will make you say “Oh, ow, that’s going to hurt in the morning.”

Visuals: 3/5 : Like I said, the make-up and costumes very done well. Nothing cheesy. I found it visually interesting. It’s a dark lit movie, but you see can see everything.

Acting: 3/5 : It’s supposed to be a bit comedical, but they work it nicely so it didn’t turn “campy” or “cheesy” The actors and actress kept it funny, yet believable.

Scare-factor: 3/5 : Not the scariest movie, but there are a couple spots that might make you jump a bit.

Plot: 4/5 : I like “short story” movies, but what I found about this one is that all the stories are happening at the same time. They managed to blend the stories together perfectly. Think of “Crash” but as a horror movie.

Would I watch it again: Yes, absolutely. I want this movie for my DVD collection.
