My Top Five Most Scary Horror Movies and Characters of All Time
A list of my top five most scary horror movies and sacry characters of all time. These are my opinion I have put them in an order I think which best suits the ranks.
Starting from rank 5-Jaws
Lets take a trip back in time to the 1970’s, in particular to the 1975 when Steven Spielberg’s block buster hit jaws was loosend at theaters. This movie was able to produce one of the most scary horror movie character of all time.This movie is about a shark which terrorizes the Massachusetts resort town of Amity Island. Three unlikely partners team up to hunt down this horrorfieng beast.The film shoot was notoriously difficult for the young Spielberg, who in the past has directed only one feature film before JAWS. The mechanical shark seldom operated correctly, and Spielberg was frequently forced to create the idea of terror without actually showing the shark.However, after the film premiered it went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time–surpassing THE GODFATHER and becoming the first film to gross more than a hundred million dollars. Jaws has earned its rank in this list as number 5.
Rank 4-The Exorcist
This movie was released in 1973. During the 70’s this was one of the most popular horror films ever made for several reasons but the main reason is it was called the most scariest movie of all time. Many might disagree with that but in 1973 there was no comparison to this movie. This movie about an innocent girl being possessed by the devil himself. Oscar nominee Linda Blair beat out hundreds of other child actors in order get to play the part of the possessed little girl. After exhausting all other practical options, Regan’s mother, Chris (Ellen Burstyn), acknowledges the supernatural nature of her daughter’s condition and recruits Father Damien Karras (Jason Miller) to stage an exorcism.Out matching the movies of that time with great visual effects. The film quickly became a nationwide sensation, leading to religious boycotts, fainting, and a huge box office return. For being scary as it is it has earned its place as rank 4.
Rank 3-Jason X
This movie is about an immortalpsycho killer who’s sole purpose is to kill everyone he comes to contact with. The movie takes place in the future. A team of government scientists working at a top secret Research Facility have finally captured the notorious and seemingly indestructible killer Jason Voorhees. Many experiments are conducted on Jason X to find out why he cannot be killed. In order to at least contain Jason, the plan is to freeze him in cryogenic suspension(freeze him); but, as usual, things go horribly wrong and he breaks free to to kill everyone in the lab. The sole survivor of this latest rampage, Rowan, manages to lure Jason into the cryogenic chamber, but before she can complete the process and escape, she is mortally wounded and frozen in time along with Jason. Where they are frozen for a few centuries. Jason is unfroze he starts to kill everyone in the space ship he was brought to be unfrozen. For being a spooky character who never dies no matter how you hurt him Jason x has earned his rank as 3.
Rank 2-A Nightmare on Elm Street(Freddy)
A horrifying, decaying figure with razor-sharp appendages (and an even sharper sense of humor!) It is the ghost of Freddy Krueger, a suspected child murderer killed long ago by the neighborhood parents.suddenly appears in the dreams of four Los Angeles teenagers. Able to turn nightmares to reality more he kills you in your dream in somehorifying way your body suffers the damage in reality. Now he’s able to exact his bloody vengeance by killing the teens off, one by one, as they sleep. It’s everyones worst nightmare … and it’s coming true for that it has earned its rank as number 2.
Rank 1-The Ring
This is movie is about a strange videotape. In Gore Verbinski’s remake of Hideo Nakata’s chilling horror film, a group of teenagers all die suddenly and inexplicably exactly one week after watching a mysterious videotape at a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest. A journalist Rachel Keller is a relation of the teenagers, after viewing the tape herself she gets a mysterious call saying that she will die in exactly 7 days. The movie continues as she tries to figure out the cryptic message in the tape as she tries to solve it within seven days the time she has left to live. This movie presents shockingly scary moments and makes the most out of the unknown. A clear cut above most contemporary horror films, THE RING offers genuine chills and will make viewers think twice before watching any unmarked videotapes for this the movie truly deserves its rank that is number one horror movie with a scary character.
