Modern Horror Directors

Brief overview of some of the best horror film directors from 1968 to present.

Until this time horror film directors were more interested in making films that used the standard horror elements and didn’t relly seem too willing to push expectations.

Tobe Hooper: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, Eaten Alive, Poltergeist, The Tool Box Murders (remake). Tobe Hooper’s first horror film was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it’s influence upon the horror genre is still quite strong.

George A Romero: Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, day of the Dead, Creepshow, The Crazies. The man who invented what is considered the modern zombie.
