Four Light Horror Movies That Will Get to You
A list of four horror movies that won’t seem that scary at first but will get to you.
The Shining
While it is admittedly a very scary movie, the lasting effects of this movie are, I believe worse. First off every time you turn a corner you will expect to see this pair of twins staring blankly at you and asking you to play with them forever and ever.
Also every time you see a door ajar you will think of the horrible happenings in room 237 and you will never look at someone handling an axe the same way again.
Silence Of The Lambs
This movie, more of a thriller than a horror will certainly give you problems falling asleep for the next month. By far the biggest reason would be Buffalo Bill and his evil doings, something that will make you uncomfortable while alone. But also the atrocious Hannibal Lector will send a chill down your spine, especially finding out how he manages to escape his prison (nobody say I spoiled the movie, as soon as you hear him talk you will know without a doubt he is going to escape- he’s to smart not to).
Dead Silence
Not just another dummy movie, this has a noticably bigger storyline to it, not just a dummy hacking away at people. Every time you enter a room for the next few weeks after seeing this you will expect to see a dummy standing over a toungless corpse as if proud of his work. Also, if you ever see someone in a wheelchair with someone standing next to them you will want to manuever yourself around the room to check his back. It does have the air of a tired remake with a different title but once you start watching you will be convinced otherwise.
One Missed Call
Admittedly not the most creative plotline this movie does have quite a surprising twist at the end that will certainly shock you. In an attempt to not give the ending away but prove it’s relevance to this article all I can say is you will never look at little girls the same way again. It’s characters are just stupid enough to have you yelling at the TV but not stupid enough to be unrealistic, making you wonder if you would do the same.

I’ve seen the three of them except the Dead Silence. At the top of the that 3 film is the Silence of the Lambs! I loved the Hannibal series. Anthony Hopkin is so much effective that I’m still afraid of him even in other films! But of course, The Shining by Stephen King rocks too as well as One Missed Call!
I hope I can watch Saw 5 in theater, kinda busy these past few days..:( I am also awaiting House (check out their official website, http://housethemovie.net for the list of cities where it’ll appear), which will be in theaters on November 7. It is based from the book of Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. Nice story and pretty creepy. I read lots of recommendations about this movie in the Net.
