Devil 2010

A movie review over Devil.

What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with the Devil and didn’t know it?

The movie, Devil, was released in September 2010. The movie was written by M. Night Shymalan, and directed by John Erick Dowdle.

The movie starts in downtown Philedelphia, when things start to go wrong. First, there was suicide, someone jumped through a window, off of a skyscraper, and Detective Bowden was sent to the scene to investigate.

Meanwhile, five indiviuals who have sinned in some way, enter an elevator to attend various appointments in the building, when the elevetator stalls. These five people are stuck in a cramp, tight elevator, with strangers, tensions get high, and strange things begin to happen.

As most movies in the horror genre, it follows a “who did it” theme. It’s like clue in an elevator.

It was good, but it would have been nice if it were a bit longer A plus with this movie is you really couldn’t tell who the devil was, until the end, when the decision to save your soul takes place.

Overall, a good movie, a great storyline. I just wish it could have been a little bit longer, and maybe add in a few more details, such as the hispanic legend, or just some more about some of the lives of the characters.

I would recommend it as a rental. Rent it first, and if you’re collector and like it, and can spare the change, go for it.
