Hello ladies and gents. This is my second batch of predictions for horror movies coming out.
Enter “The Crazies” This remake starring Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell as his wife has my attention. I normally don’t get excited about remakes, as they tend to be regurgitated onto a screen, but this one has me. The trailer was well put together, just enough, but not too much. It looks dark, creepy, and completly worth it. I imagine we’ll all be on the edge of our seats. Olyphant has always been amazing in what he’s done, and this looks like the perfect scare for all of us that have been left disappointed by the past few years of horror.
With Penn Badgley playing “Micheal Harding” and David Walsh as “David Harris”, “Stepfather looks to me like a fifty-fifty shot. The major difference from the original is that Badgley’s character was originally a female, which was what made the first one creepier. This remake has a chance, but I’m leaning towards “Not so much…” Walsh is a so-so actor to begin with. (Him in Nip/Tuck is a perfect example) I’m not entirely convinced that he can portray the creepiness and intensity as the first. Of course I’ll be seeing it in theater, but I am required to. You should just wait until the DVD or my review. Ha.
On to bigger and better things, Legion. How amazing does this look?! Very! God loses faith in humanity (haven’t we all?) and decides it’s our time to go. Intense visuals, an extremly talented cast. When this hits the theaters, buy a darn ticket! I can not see a single reason why this movie will be less than amazing! When I saw the trailer, I was extra creeped out by the “old lady” I will bet my copy of “Cannibal Holocaust” that this movie will blow us all away.
So there you have another three predictions from me, Adrielle. What makes me an authority in these types of things? Guys, I live, breath, eat, sleep, and holiday with horror. You can bet your souls that I’ve got an eye for this.
