This movie is all about the last days of the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s life, his love life and the letter Gandhi wrote to him requesting him to stop the Second World War. The movie revolves around the emotions of the Nazi leader and highlights the difference in ideologies and philosophies of the two great political leaders of that time.
The movie is set in the year 1939- A year in which the world is plagued with unrest and upheaval. On one side is Adolf Hitler’s ruthless ambition for German expansion in Eastern Europe causing violence all around the world and on the other hand is Gandhi who with his non-violence ideology is fighting for the India’s independence.
The movie takes its name from two letters Gandhi wrote to Hitler trying to stop him from causing the Second World War. Disturbed by Hitler’s ways Gandhi one day decides to write a letter to Hitler, a letter he hoped would persuade Hitler to change his path and avoid the Second World War. But his effort went in vain. Gandhi doesn’t lose hope and he again writes another letter to Hitler, this time closer to Hitler’s downfall, at a time when Hitler was surrounded with betrayal all around him leading him to a confinement in an underground bunker.
The climax and end of the story can be known only after watching the movie. The story of the movie is unique as no one has stepped into this part of the world history before. I am sure this movie is going to grip the viewers till the end. It does seem like a worthwhile movie to watch.
