Twilight Sequel: New Moon
About the highly anticipated Twilight sequel New Moon.
As most of you Twilight fans know, New Moon is coming our way this November. Although New Moon will not be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, big things are expected out of director Chris Weitz. Hopefully he will bring some things to the big screen that Catherine wasn’t able to do. Yes, her budget was a lot more limited then what the New Moon budget will be, but fans are expecting the new movie to be a million times better then Twilight was. She has even made public statements saying she felt that the circumstances she was given for New Moon were not something she felt she could deal with and make a good movie.
Of course Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will return to play Bella and Edward, rumors have been flying about a few Disney stars possibly working on the new film. The Jonas Brother’s have expressed an interest in being involved in the soundtrack and it has been rumored that Vanessa Hudgens has been offered the role of Leah Clearwater. This of course has not been confirmed yet, but the Twilight fans are not taking this news with a smile.
The film is thought to be more of an independent film that is filled with either no name actors or actors that have not made huge names for themselves. Since the die hard fans seem to have a huge connection with the the character’s in the books they seem to prefer to have low key actors in the film. Plus, how do you really go from a soundtrack that had Paramore and even actor Pattinson to the Jonas Brother’s?
In the upcoming months as the film starts to begin filming in Canada, I am sure that we will hear a ton of new information that will have all of us Twilight fans watering at the mouths until the new movie hits the big screen in November. Stay tuned and I’ll make sure to update any relevant information as I hear it and make sure to post all your thoughts on New Moon.

I personally hope that the new movie doesn’t leave out things that are important in the book. The first one was good, but also could have been done a little better, I know the director didn’t have a big budget…but still
@ Abby
I am going to have to agree with you. There are some things in the first film that I personally did not like, but I give credit to Catherine for working with what she had. For what she was given, it was better than a lot of people thought.
Thanks for reading
My first reaction was excitement that a new one is coming out and i am looking forward to it. sometimes follow-ups are more successful. one example is after Star Trek the Motion Picture, the follow up was The Wrath of Khan directed by Gene Roddenbury (who directed the original series). thanks for posting this in. i found it very enjoyable to read and it gave me insight into the next twilight movie. excellent!
I admit that i have not read the books, but I loved twilight. It was one of the best movies I have seen in yrs. I can not wait for the next one(S)
@ Jo Oliver
I would most definitely recommend reading the books. Then watching the movies…or at least read them then rewatch! Such a difference.
