The first movie was entertaining. The second movie was impressive. The third movie was scary. The fourth movie was inspiring. The fifth movie was too much. And what’s this HP6? another one? Gads! How old is that kid? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy doing acid, or smoking a fatty and walking through the puddles of melted raisenetes to an un-recognizably goo-coated seat and sitting arch-neck for two hours infront of a five-story screen, while people grope each-other, shove a variety of objects into crying baby’s mouths and answer vibrating cell-phones, catching only enough of the actual dialog that I get only about 47 cents worth of the $11.00 admission, as much as the next average American. But, really more Harry Potter? Where’s Big Trouble in Little China pt.2 or A sequel to The South Park movie.
I can’t believe there is only this direction to send our children’s minds. What are the Harry Potter influenced children going to be like 25 years from now? How is this cycle influencing and directing the minds of 2 generations of children. And what, if they continue?! My dad loved James Bond. I love James Bond. My kids love James Bond…but, only until the new “HP6″ comes out. What real world values are imparted through such a “far-out” or “bizzaro” setting as, a school of magicians. He’s not even a superhero. He’s a disobedient under-loved child that is whisked away to a world he stumbles through until the end when he is granted some mystical understanding to defeat this re-occurring jerk that had some beef with his long dead parents. Enough is enough. I haven’t seen the new movie yet, and I’m sure that I will but, I can only hope that, this one ends with whatever, back from the netherworld, foe he faces searing his trembling, un-prepared, deviant ass into a small pile of smoldering grey ash. I mean how do you leave the audience wanting more than, ending the life of the lead, guaranteeing the end. Let the kid move on to collage and become a doctor that uses magic to cure breast cancer. Or, maybe, he could drop out and team up with Kurt Russel and shake the pillars of hell from the cab of Dennis Hoppers space-rig…now, that’s entertainment!

I have no understanding of this movie or the book. I don’t know how children can understand it. I tried to watch it and I was so confused that I had to turn it off. I guess I’m just to old fashion. Interesting write however.
