Top 10 Box Office Success’s 2010

Every year more and more movies are released… Some very good… Some not so good.. But there are also ones that stand above all other ones.. this group is reserved for outstanding movies that not only get great reviews, but manage to put up big numbers when it comes to cash flow.

The key to their success is anything but simple. To become a box office god you have to have a movie that is so visually impelling that viewers feel as if they are in the movie, or find themselves wanting to know what is happening next every step of the way. Every year we find that movies are beginning to reach a new level of quality, these qualities allow for the movies to put their name up along side some of the best movies. The problem is that as many more videos are created every year. The downside to this is that the chance of a crappy movie are more likely. The upside would be that 1 in 10 movies happen to be very interesting, these are the ones that everyone rushes to the theaters to watch, not wait for it to come out on dvd. With a large portion of people going to see this in theaters it not only means that it will stay in theaters longer, but that more money will be earned prior to it being released on dvd. 1 Toy Story 3 – Raking in $1,057,100,000 it takes spot #1.

2 Alice in Wonderland – Trailing close behind, Alice comes in second with $1,019,200,000.

3 Inception – With a big gap Inception comes in at #3 with $816,900,000.

4 Shrek Forever After – Shrek managed to rake in $731,100,000.

5 The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Bella and the Vamps sucked $626,900,000.

6 Iron Man 2 – Tony has tons of money to buy more suits now with his newly attained $616,800,000

7 Despicable Me – This children’s comedy easily collected $536,700,000

8 How to Train Your Dragon – You may think these dragons would have burnt through the box office, but they managed to put up a whopping $492,600,000

9 Clash of the Titans – This is one of the best action movies that came out in 2010, I am not surprised it made the top 10 $491,600,000

10 The Karate Kid – Unfortunately this movie managed to make it to the top 10, how? I assume that everyone in China watched the movie just so that they could make it to the top 100. I am sure they are as surprised as we are when they found out they made $339,500,000
