When I first saw the trailer, I thought first that if Gerard Butler is there, then this should be hot! not to mention his partner would be Katherine Heigel, which was one of my favorites.
The storyline was not really new, but as all writers will do, they will put some spices to the story. I can also say that Katherine Heigel’s role here is merely the same as her role in 27 Dresses. A girl is used to her old life, being successful, but quite miserable, or she still don’t experience the “happy” and content life. And then a guy comes to change all that. He teaches the girl how to make risks and not regret it, and sooner or later the girl and the guy falls in love with each other. nothing really new there.
But what I was happy about is the scripts. There are several hilarious moments which I enjoyed most because of what the two cast made comments about each other. I also loved how straightforward and honest the characters are. And I do agree that the truth is ugly, we either just don’t want to admit it, or we hide it.
For me, I give it a 3 out of 5 for the storyline
4.5 out of 5 for the script
and 5 for the cast. They look beautiful together.
