I Am Sam is a movie that uses all aspects of health, such as emotional and mental health. It is about Sam, who has a daughter that everyone thought would have an ‘Mental Illness’ Like Sam, but seems to be smart and pretty. When the Daughter reaches the age of seven, she wished not to age, because she would become smarter than her dad.
Sam life starts to have troubles when his daughter said that she was adopted by Sam, and the court takes custody of her, and what makes things worse is that Sam kidnapped his daughter(whose name is Lucy) back. He later works with a lawyer who has her problems of her own, which Sam didn’t find out until he said that she was perfect. The Lawyer didn’t know what to call Sam, as she tried many different names for him, such as mentally retarded or disabled.
The Lawyer and Sam worked together to help Sam get her daughter back, but the daughter also wants Sam back, so she starts walking back to Sam. Sam and the mother that takes custody of Lucy decides to share custody of her, and the ending was a sweet soccer game with Sam acting as a Seven Year old when someone scores a goal.
