This teacher showed her students a better life and she showed them how to love one another. She was such a patient person and she helped them deal with all the problems each of them had to deal with in their life. She was the only person they could go to and she was there for them every step of the way.

Hilary Swank who played Mrs.Gruwell wanted to become a teacher but her father wasn’t so found of the idea. He was a very wealthy man and wanted more I guess for his daughter but she wanted to teach. Her husband was very supporting in the beginning but then left her when she really needed him the most. All she had were her students and her dad.

She walked into a class of disrespecting students who didn’t care about anything. All they cared about was themselves and trying to live. Each of them had their own heartbreaking story and she just wanted to help them. She was like a mother to the classroom.

Soon, the faculty began to get jealous of Mrs. Affect on students; everybody wanted to be in her class. Teachers wanted to fire her for little reasons. I believe that was so mean she was their helping kids become better people and the other teachers didn’t even care they wanted her out.

I think this movie shows so much love, care, and knowledge. She showed them that they were all very smart and they could become something of themselves. It showed so much growth also; each of her students grew to be better people. I think if somebody is in a rough place in their life they should watch this movie. It gave me so much hope to become who I want to be.
