Coach Carter

Coach Carter is based on a true story.

Coach Carter is a movie about real life. It shows young teenagers that anything is possible if you try your hardest. Samuel Jackson who plays Coach Ken Carter teaches a team so many important things in life and he gave them all hope that they could actually go to college and have a good life.

In the beginning of the movie all the teammates on the Richmond high team were losing all of their games. They tried hard but not there hardest and when coach carter came everything changed. He gave them new rules and regulations of school. They had to work really hard to be a good team and in the end it paid off.

There were a few teammates who didn’t like the way coach carter taught and his new rules, but the students that stayed really learned important lessons in life. Rick Gonzales who played Timo was such an important character in this movie to me because he had a real tragedy happen and because of basketball he was able to pull through it. He didn’t want to be a part of the team when coach carter came but once he saw that they were winning and he was missing out he wanted to come back. Coach Carter made him do so much and more to come back but he did it. Things were going good until his uncle died on the streets then his whole attitude changed about life.

This movie symbolizes strength and determination. Coach Carter helped them in life and they made the championship, even though they didn’t win they learned there is more to life then just high school basketball.

I have never ever been a fan of Coach Carter, but it’s still interesting to hear other people’s opinions.

    Good article!
