Synopsis: A film spoof of the Twilight film series that features an 18-year-old girl moving to Washington and being pursued romantically by a vampire and werewolf.
Who’s in it? Jenn Proske, Matt Lanter and Diedrich Bader.
What I liked about this movie: A lot of “spoof” movies like this fail to live up to expectations because they focus on crude humor and, in many cases, don’t even follow the same plot as the real film. This movie didn’t make that mistake. I wasn’t expecting much from it when I started watching it, but the film had a good mix of smart comedy with just the right amount of crude jokes to mix things up a bit.
More importantly, the plot was actually somewhat interesting. Yes, it was basically the same plot as all the Twilight movies. But, there were times when I thought this movie did a better job telling that story (perhaps because it was condensed into one film rather than stretched out over several movies).
What I didn’t like about this movie: I wasn’t crazy about the ending. It was OK. But, it was a bit of a disappointment when compared to the rest of the film.
Final Opinion: It’s not as good as Scary Movie but was still better than about 90 percent of the films that are in this genre and, overall, was very entertaining to watch.
My Grade: 4 stars out of a possible 5.
