X-Men Origins: Wolverine

“X-Men Origins: Wolverine” focuses on the beginnings of Wolverine. The shooting of the film was mostly taken in Australia and New Zealand. This film tells the previous relationship between Wolverine and Sabretooth. Wolverine is Sabretooth’s brother. Both of them have supernatural power since their childhood. James Logan aka Wolverine and his brother Victor Creed (who will later become Sabretooth) ran away together as children in the mid 1850’s after their biological father was killed by Logan.

Due to their experiences in many wars, they are recruited by William Stryker to join a special unit of mutants. The internal conflict in Logan occurs when witnessing his mutants cruelty during the mission. Logan is not cold blooded like Victor Creed. After wiping out an African village, Logan quits the unit and starts new life of peace in the Canadian Rockies with his girlfriend aka Silver Fox.

Once day, Stryker asks Logan to be a part of a new Weapon X project but Logan, who loves peace, rejects it. The conflict occurs when Logan knows that Victor Creed murders his girl friend and this situation motivates Logan to accept Strykers offer to be infused with Adamantium so that he can be stronger. Before Stryker wipes his memories, Logan escapes, searching for Creed.

After meeting with some members of his old team, he finds out that Stryker actually cooperates with Creed to kidnap mutants and bring them as experiment on a new project, Weapon XI.

Beside the external conflict with antagonists (Creed and Stryker), in this story occurs internal conflict within Logan mind between his conscience and his animal instinct.

Liev Schreiber, who is also the actor in “Deviance,” acts well as Victor Creed ‘Sabretooth’ in this film. He is suitable to perform cruel and cold blooded character. In this film, Logan ‘Wolverine’ is performed by Hugh Jackman, who acts the character since X-Men I.
