Synopsis: A college town is terrorized by a swarm of mutated bats that are thirsty for human blood.

What I liked about this movie: I think the part I liked most about this movie is the fact there are actually two stories. First, you have the main plot about the blood thirsty bats. But, at the same time, you have a side story involving a cover up over how the bats became mutated in the first place. More importantly, there are a couple small twists that do keep you guessing about who the bad guy really is.
It was also kind of cool seeing Lawless in a non-Xena like role. In fact, my wife and I barely even recognized her when we were watching this film.
What I didn’t like about this movie:Other than the part about who the bad guy was, the film is actually pretty predictable. You can pretty much guess who will be the next to die and, when they say the bats have been defeated, they obviously have not. Not to mention the part with the students helping out seems to be a little bit cartoonish for me.
Final Opinion: This movie was slightly better than expected. However, it really wasn’t anything special and, if you’ve seen any other movie involving some sort of killer animal, you’ve pretty much seen this one too.
My Grade: 3 stars out of a possible 5.
