Tron Legacy: Awesomeness Just Got a Reboot

So the trailers might be the same – It’s hard to tell from the quality of the teaser tester type one.

Having the day before (Or depending how long this takes to be uploaded) been in France with a thought of what might’ve changed in two weeks, I had expected very little compared to my younger days when the longest I spend in France had been five weeks (A lot had changed during a five week holiday back then).

A nice little discovery of what had occurred in the realm of films were two things, the trailer for the new Alice in Wonderland film had been released (Holy shit this looks awesome) and a trailer for a certain sequel to one certain awesome film of the 80’s is finally out. Tron 2 or the actual name “Tron Legacy” that really does help gel the whole “Epic Awesome Factor” we have here to see within a trailer that has it all. Light-Cycles, disc things, people with luminous suits and cool shit happening in a Light-Cycle duel (Sweet). If anyone from last year (or maybe it was the year before?) remembers at Comic-Con San Diego they had test footage of what Tron would look like now, and it had this cool Light-Cycle duel taking place. The new trailer is basically that but updated again (Looks even better now) and just as awesome to watch with someone killing someone at the end along with a slight variation in dialogue.

Even with that teaser, tester type trailer (or yesteryear) I was already excited by the prospect of seeing a sequel to one of my favourite Sci-Fi flicks. The amazing surreal nature of a digital world that beats matrix hands down. I mean if you were going to be in the digital realm of existences! Do it in style. A nice little reason I remember the film clearly comes from the fact it had that British actor (He played “Evil” in Terry Gilligan’s classic “Time Bandits”) with that type of British accent that you’d want from how cool it sounds. Accents that inhabit any Sci-Fi film, has me questioning why that is…..who cares! It was awesome none the less.

Daft Punk is scoring the film, they have people from the original film and it has a freaking awesome look about it. What’s better is that we’ve only got a little over two years to wait max or minimal. 2011 and then Tron Legacy, the equivalent to Watchmen finally being made except this isn’t going to be limited to what it can do overall for the fans and audience…all we have is a trailer and a small speck of what the plot could be about.

“It’s just a game!” he struggles back away from the figure looming over him.

That above is just one piece of the trailer I have attempted to describe verbally to you and have only deteriorated the awesomeness in trying to explain one scene of the trailer.

Here’s the link to the original teaser, tester trailer:

Thought of the Day: August 3rd:

To read more of “The Dark Tower” epic with the second volume….already got to skip ahead thanks to the previous book featuring a preview of the material of the prologue and first chapter. The introduction it boasts on the cover, I had expected to be something new, but I was mistaken at how the little fact. It was the same one from the first book *Growl*. Screw it! I want more “Dark Tower Action”.
