When word of the new movie Tron: Legacy spread, it jump-started the hearts of many fans of the original from the 80s. The question that stands, is the movie worth the money?
Personally, a good movie starts with the casting of the main character. If the actor is bad, then the movie will generally follow down the same path. Garrett Hedlund was casted to play the role of Sam Flynn, Kevin Flynn’s son. The way he acts out what he is feeling with his rebellious skeems, really brings you into the character.
For the plot, they really flowed it together, bringing back references from the original movie. The action really does the plot justice by moving it along. From jumping off of buildings, light cycle games, and even epic disk battles, movie is nothing to fall asleep to. Finally, the comedy portion of the movie. As I stated earlier, references to the original Tron make the theatre smile and they added the famous quote from the movie War Games.
To sum it up in a sentence, I enjoyed the movie and it was worth how ever much the 3D experience will cost you.
