Top Five Movies of 2011
These are the five movies in order that I enjoyed the most from 2011. This list could change, but in general there was a lot more to be interested in from the year 2010 in films.
5. Insidious: The movie had some chilling moments and was interesting in the number of demonic possessions and spiritual images it contained. However, the acting was sub-standard and a slight bit of cheesiness prevented it from being horror classic, though it is merely very good.
4. Hanna: The movie about a girl who has classified properties and is constantly on the run from one mean lady in particular. She befriends others along the way. The movie is exciting in its constant chase like nature.
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2: This is an exciting ending to the Deathly Hollows movie where the kids are searching for some treasures and become split up and then Harry supposedly dies, but kills Voldemort eventually.
2. Drive: This is an interesting movie where a driver has to perform jobs for mafia like characters and eventually ends up on the run from even more ruthless characters. There is a slower pace to the movie that emphasizes atmosphere, but it’s also oddly reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto video games.
1. X-Men: First Class: This was the best movie of the year for me. It had a great progression on the upbringing of the X-Men characters, stellar atmospherics and a great emphasis on the duel between good and evil. This was the most enthralling movie of 2011 for me.

Not a very agreeable list………..Drive was not good.
Great post. Really good movies.
I didn’t see any of these movies – I guess I need to get out more.
I saw Insidious, Hanna and X-men and I have to say that they were pretty good. Thanks for sharing this list.
I feel a little outta the loop having not even heard of a couple of these movies. (blushes)
