The Passion of the Christ – 2004

Passion of the Christ by Gibson was criticized on the grounds that it included many brutal scenes and war of culture. Film had no sentiments but rather anti-sentiments were revealed on several occasions.

A Clockwork Orange – 1971

A story of a teenager’s gang that goes out every night in Britain beating and raping its victims. Even before the movie was released in United States and United Kingdom the movie was considered as pornographic and several social institutions had raised its voice against the release and distribution of the movie.

Salo – 1975

A story during Nazi regime where sixteen youths and other crew are brought together and start the execution of the youths and blood. This movie brought outrage among people but was still shown in its uncut version and after many controversies was still shown in cut version for nearly six years.

Birth of a Nation – 1915

This movie is about the civil wars and its effect on friendship. Movie was criticized because it showed African Americans as brutal killers and sex maniacs. Censor boards and other organizations protested this movie in all its releases.
