A whistful peruse over the cartoons that all grown-ups can enjoy.

1.  WALL-E  (2008)  An animated masterpiece about the only robot left on Earth in a distopian future.

2.  Up  (2009)  Another animation masterpiece.  The first animated film to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar since Disney’s Beauty & The Beast.

3.  Bolt  (2008)  Disney back in the zone with help from John Travolta who lends his voice.

4.  The Princess & The Frog  (2009)  Disney go back to the old school with a twist on a classic tale.  Set in the wonderfully musical city of New Orleans.

7.  Happy Feet  (2006)  A great musical about a “different” penguin.

8.  Ratatouille  (2007)  A quality animated movie about a rat who has a passion for Parisian cooking.

9.  Surf’s Up  (2007)  A funny and moving story about surf-boarding penguins.

Some fantastic choices in there, especially Wallace and Gromit and Ratatouille! I loved Up as well but couldn’t believe how sad the beginning was for a kids film.
