The Fourth Kind

In 1972 was established scale investigation of suspected extraterrestrial iteligence participation. UFO sightings is usually described as the first kind of meeting, gathering evidence mean the second stage, contact with aliens is the third kind. The last, fourth kind of meeting, designates kidnapping. Documentation of the third and fourth kind of meeting there. Until recently. Provocative thriller A fourth type is based on true events in a remote Alaskan town, where the sixties there is a mysterious disappearances of people. This phenomenon has never been satisfactorily explained.

The whole thing is stupid. This is the beginning of the most important information. The fourth type is a film based on true events, not based on what has happened somewhere in Alaska and is completely fanciful. And obviously not very good because it all came to light much sooner than the producers wanted. But it is ultimately their problem, a good film should not be something terribly hurt. The fourth type, however, is not a good movie. Not a bit.

Sci-fi about how evil aliens circling the planet Earth and is not interested in anything other than how they could dig in the guts, not just the topic that film audiences would have experienced could be called original. On the other hand, many people are just afraid of something like that ever since childhood, and probably would not find anyone who would be the idea of how he some Martian burrows in the liver, liked it. And precisely this reliance and the fourth type of creators. Kidnappings, anatomy, some of those mysterious words around, a few secrets and everything goes by itself.Unfortunately, director Olatunde Osunsanmi decided to shoot something more than the average sci-fi thriller, and stumbled badly.

Had the fourth type of less ambitious and contented himself with being an hour and a half scare grating sound, dark music and classical genres proprietà might not be a bad movie. Director from time to time shows that the total atmosphere and can from time to time he can cause in humans and that some chills, unfortunately, as we have already said – the fourth kind of wanted to be something more than just Beck on extraterrestrials and ultimately became a victim of its own ambitions. Now does not address the fact that all the talk about how to lose people in Alaska, and as she sends FBI agents suspect a lot without a single explanation, are fictions which should sell the movie. The problem is elsewhere.

The fundamental trouble lies in the fact that Osunsanmi tried to combine the classic thriller with documentary footage. But it does so clumsily that the result looks as if you switch between Blair Witch Project and the episode of The X and yet was so drunk that he really knocked me both programs together. Moment we are forced to watch the “documentary” footage of doctors Tyler Abbey, which the studio says about his experiences with aliens and people who were kidnapped, just to see the second half of the scenes filmed nicely cleaned and neat with Milla Jovovich for the camera. Cut just Osunsanmi documentary passage in the middle, sending the actor and the camera does the rest of the conversation “movie.”

The filmmakers simply could not or would not decide whether to embark on Paranormal Activity or classic film, the result of their work, however, acts as something irresponsible courier carried from the cutting room a month earlier. Often we have to look twice to the same scene, only one is in it a second time and an unknown woman wearing makeup or charismatic actor Hakeem Kae-Kazim (one of the few bright points of the film). All of this extra face so severely that a sensible man, in some moments of laughter simply can not help. When you come to the end of the front of the camera as Milla Jovovich Milla Jovovich and Olatunde Osunsanmi as Olatunde Osunsanmi and the deadly serious expression tells us that everything we see is the truth and they now weigh his outlook on life, the universe and everything, ends all the fun . Or begins, as the angle of view on the matter.

Unusual and mismanagement of the narrative form in addition to safely disposed of some experiments on tension and with a few exceptions as well as the atmosphere. Most of the things that one would like to see, see, because the “documentary” part too often strangely and mysteriously blurred camera in the “Filmmaking” is again no one wanted to shoot, because then everything would have been less frightening. The highlight of all is the moment in which the main character hypnotizes a man who was possibly the victim of alien abduction, and he then throws the entire office. Of course we see this scene twice, which I think speaks for itself.

What are we here to praise? Well, just end it here. Atmosphere occasionally pops its ugly head and had not been so ambitious director, maybe he could make a solid sci-fi thriller. Milla Jovovich is still quite pretty to look at and Hakeem Kae-Kazim has the charisma to it that appeared in major roles in interesting films. However, this is not enough reason to make a man went to the cinema, if not love downright similar topics or to frighten the very fact that it could become a victim of abduction. But even if so, I suggest closing your eyes and imagine it, still it will be more interesting than the fourth type.
