The Avengers Review

First it was the Incredible Hulk, then it was Iron Man, Then Captain America and then the Almighty Thor. You could see the formation happening that would become The Avengers. This film caught absolutely no one by surprise and was highly anticipated. Films that usually generate that kind of box office buzz have the possibility of falling short as far as expectations. The Avengers definitely broke that slump. This film delivered and had enough character development in its previous character releases, that when it was time for  this film to release, we all we ready to take on the entire Marvel Universe.

The film starts off with Thor’s brother Loki(Tom Hiddleston), who has possession of the Tesseract (an alien power) and is threatening enslave the humans. Loki out of pure hatred for his brothers fame and triumph wants to also make his make by destroying earth and enslaving the inhabitants. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) upon hearing of this, assembles The Avengers to counter the forces of Loki and his army. The Avengers assembled include Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor & Hawkeye.

This film was put together by a genius, not only was there a perfect balance of each character but they all had their own action sequence and when they have the epic battle in the end you can see how their individual abilities when put together make the perfect weapon. Each character has their own flaw, Thor has his guilt about his brother Loki, Hulk’s fear of the monster he truly is, Iron Man’s Ego…etc. but when assembled it’s just straight amazing.

This film was everything that it was promoted to be. A great film about some of the hero’s we all grew up with and imagined what they would be like in real life and how could that even be possible, action, drama and of course The Incredible Hulk. He personally was the best, smashing everything in sight as I always envisioned and really embraces who he truly is. I highly recommend this movie to all movie goers and hope the next batch of comic books that come to the big screen can deliver as well. The Avengers really set the bar high and I hope others can fall in line.
