T2 (Tenement 2): A Movie Review

Another certified blockbuster movie of Chito S. Rono.

Chito S. Rono is known for directing horror movies. This is one of the best movies I have seen. Maricel Soriano is the best dramatic actress. Mika dela Cruz is the best child actress because she gives her full best which fascinates the viewers. The other actors and actresses who participate in this movie are: Derek Ramsey, Eric Fructuoso, Tetchie Agbayani, Camille Prats, K Brosas, and Mon Confiado, The story tells about the Filipino folklore of encantos or enchanted beings.

Synopsis:

Clair is a businesswoman who volunteer as a social worker by reuniting the orphans to their families. When her husband Jeremy wanted to separate from her, she decided to take a time off and accepted a volunteer work in Samar. Then, she met Angeli, a strange orphan who just lost her blind father in an accident. Clair had to bring her in a tenement in Manila where her Aunt Isabel lives.

On their way out of the province, Clair noticed there are some strange happenings around them. Angeli always say that somebody will get her on her 9th birthday. When they reached the tenement in Manila, Clair discovered that there are true enchanted beings who will get the child. With the help of an old lady Rita, she managed from her struggles to save Angeli from her misfortunes. Unfortunately, Isabel, her true mother and an enchanted beings, does not stop to get Angeli back to their world.

Opinion:

I like this movie because it tells about the love of a father to his daughter. The father of Angeli is portrayed by the actor John Lloyd Cruz. He is punished to become blind because he wanted to protect his daughter Angeli from Isabel. He sacrificed everything for Angeli’s safety. He loves his daughter so much because he wants what is best for her. All valuable treasures in the world are worthless to be compared to the unconditional love of a father to a daughter. This movie has really touched my heart. It is also a recommendation to watch this movie in the celebration of Father’s Day to give honor for the sacrificial love of all fathers to their children.
