The title of this article may sound a bit weird to many but by the end of it you should understand what is meant by it. I am going to start of by telling you a story about the animals and how they operate, again this may sound a bit off but it all plays and important part in a lesson that I have leant in life. Most wild animals are very fit and in top shape, unlike most humans, this is because they are much more active than us. When and animal needs food and water he has to go out and hunt for it and do what ever it takes to get that’s food. It is that drive to survive that make then hunt it prey to get the necessary food to live, we would call it a drive.
Now take a look and animals we keep as pets, if you don’t take them for walks and exercise chances they are not going to exercise themselves just for exercise sake. The house pets also have a tendency of becoming over weight and even develop stuff like arthritis. This is because we give them food and water and they have no need to fight for it or in other words they are not hungry and has no drive.
The purpose of this whole story is to show that when we as people have no drive for anything in life we become depressed or lose meaning or purpose in our lives. This is why we need to have goals and constantly be working towards them. There is nothing wrong with contentment at all, but still keep your drive for life if you want something don’t be afraid to go out and get it. It will be hard work but the hungrier you are, more you will work towards it.
