Stargate Universe: New Series

Okay first off, wow once again another Stargate series.  That’s their fourth Stargate series, if you really want to count the animated series Stargate Infinity.  (Which I found absolutely pointless in my opinion)  Ever since the very first movie of Stargate came out I have been a huge fan.  Of course my favorite series will always be Stargate SG1.

As of right now they are in production of making a new series called Stargate Universe.  I top my hat off to the brilliant writers who made it all possible.  Robert C. Cooper, Brad Wreight and Carl Binder.  Of course Carl Binder is new to the show, so we’ll have to see what he brings with himself.  But Rob and Brad have been with the series since its inception in July of 1997.  They indeed excellent writers and have shown their worthwhile of watching their writing. 

Anyway, Lets talk about Stargate Universe.  On one note I am sad to announce that the old SG1 team will not be the main one in this new series.  Instead they bring on a whole new list of interesting characters.  Here they are:

Dr. Nicholas Rush (played by Robert Carlyle) he will be the geeky scientist somewhat like our good old friend Daniel Jackson was in the early series. 

Everett Young (played by Justin Louis) They have described him as Colonel Jack O’neill.  So I think we can expect some humor from him hopefully.

Eli Wallace (played by David Blue) He is somewhat of an outcast in the group and lacks self confidence

Chloe Armstrong (played by Elyse Levesque) will be most likely a newer version of Captain Samantha Carter from the first series

Tamara Johansen (played by Alaina Huffman) She is more or less the medical doctor of the crew on the ancient ship

If you want to know more about the characters you can go to Wikipedia.org and look up Stargate Universe.  When the show airs, it will begin as a two hour movie and then they will go to regular weekly episodes as usual.  Luckily the original SG1 team will have a few cameos in the two hour premiere of S.U. 

Everyone gear up and get ready for this new fantastic series of Stargate premiering in October this year.
