If you enjoy watching films, then you probably get a little bit fed up from time to time about the amount of money that you end up spending whenever you go to the cinema. This article will help you to think about the ways that you can cut this money down and enjoy watching films for much less.
- Keep your eyes open for good offers in the newspapers. There are sometimes things like buy one get one free advertised, and this would halve the amount that you would have to spend on your visit. In addition to this, in a lot of cinemas, there are different offers on every day. Sometimes there are days of the week where the tickets are cheaper, and sometimes there are days that the food is cheaper. If you check out these offers, you might be able to find that you are able to spend a lot less than you might have thought.
- Don’t buy food. Do you really need to be filling your mouth with food and drink while you’re watching your film? Does it actually make your experience any better? I stopped buying food at the cinema a while ago, and I found that I was still able to enjoy the film but I just didn’t have to spend as much money in order to do so. You could take in your own drink and maybe even some snacks if your cinema allows it, and this means that you would still have something to eat but you wouldn’t have to pay the huge prices that they charge.
- Pay monthly. If you go to the cinema a lot, then you might find that it would be cheaper if you bought an “unlimited” ticket, as this would mean that you could go as many times as you like without having to pay extra every time. At Cineworld for example, this price is just £12.99 per month, which means that you would only have to see three films every month for it to be worth your while. In addition to this, you also get special offers on the food and drinks which would mean that you would be able to afford more while you were there if you wanted to.
- Ditch the cinema. If you just like films, but you aren’t all that bother about seeing them on the big screen, then it might make sense for you to wait until they’re available to buy on DVD. You will find that the cost of the DVD is around the same price as an adult ticket to see the film, not even taking into account the amount that you would spend on food and drink, and buying it on DVD would mean that you could watch it as many times as you like from the comfort of your own home without having to worry about anything other than which snack to eat while you’re enjoying your film.
