I was a Dwayne Johnson fan when he was the rock, and still am. Although in saying that this movie wasn’t up to par even by his standards. I do not mean to sound mean, but I have seen much better from MR.Johnson !!
Some of the jokey moments I found awkward in Johnson’s acting this time around like he had to do those scenes over and over until they finally said that’s enough, and just choose which take was the best. I have seen the Rock be funny before both in the wrestling ring and on screen, but I just didn’t want him to be funny in this movie.
A lot of driving around was down in a cab, that I found pretty boring after a while, but the film makers did break it up in places which I was so pleased for after a while.
I am a big kid at heart, and love these type of movies, and so does my son. But even he could not get into it. Although in saying this he does like alien story lines so he wasn’t bored, just that he couldn’t stop moving in his chair which usually means the movie in question hasn’t caught his full attention.
A slight twist to the storyline was the fact that they put in an assassin as well as the normal government goons running after the two child human form aliens.
I myself wouldn’t be rushing out to purchase this after renting it, because it just didn’t satisfy my family what so ever. Although in saying that I have seen much worse, and wouldn’t want to put people off because I think a lot of older kids and even some younger teens would find the sense of humour funny, where I didn’t. But I am sure if it came up in a sale some where for three or four dollars I might be tempted
