Nine Must See Japanese Commercials Featuring Your Favorite Celebrities

Big names, serious actors, and pop stars in some of the most ridiculous foreign commercials you could ever hope to see.

Why do celebrities do foreign commercials when they would never stoop to sully their images on American televisions hawking products from energy drinks to credit cards?  Besides the fact that the money is nice, they don’t think we’ll ever see them!  This is why the internet was invented.

You have to wonder how much Nicholas Cage was paid for this.  The man makes about a dozen movies a year, does he need cash this bad?

I bet you’ve never seen Hulk Hogan singing before, and now you know why.

Bruce Willis doesn’t appear very “leading man” in this commercial for a credit card company.

Keanu Reeves doesn’t just phone it in for this cheesy alcohol commercial, he really gives it his all.

Somehow, I don’t think Ben Stiller would do this commercial much differently even if it had been filmed in the US.

You can’t fault John Travolta for believing his fellow Americans wouldn’t see this awesomely retro ad, it was done before everyone had a laptop and wifi.

I don’t know why Sean Connery is riding around in a convertible with a rabbit, and I’m even more unsure of what a bunny has to do with yogurt, but according to Connery it “ees verrry goot”.

Do you blame the Japanese for this next commercial starring George Michael and Wham or the 80s?  Either way, it’s a masterpiece of tackiness.

This next commercial starring Orlando Bloom is actually quite sweet and well done.  You’ll be reminded why he became a star, although I’m not sure what the ad is for.  Hair gel, maybe?
