Natalie Portman – Biography and Filmography
Daughter of a doctor, Natalie Portman, born Hershlag, leaves Jerusalem at the age of three years to live with her family in the United States, Connecticut and Long Island. Spotted in a pizzeria by a modeling agent, she began on the stage before getting to 12 years, the female lead role in Luc Besson’s Leon, in which she co-starred in "cleaner" Jean Reno.

She also appears in the sequence of Mira Nair’s film of the same. The same year, she appears on the screen in Jim Sheridan’s Brothers, sharing it shared with Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Her performance both physically and psychologically challenging in Black Swan Darren Aronofsky won him a Golden Globe nomination for best actress.
