Six great movies everyone should watch.
With movie ticket prices rising, more and more people are choosing to stay home and rent or buy movies. While everyone has there favorite Movies here are some movies that every home entertainment library should have.
Old Yeller
your never to old or two young to understand the love between a boy and his dog. Starring Beverly Washburn, Tommy Kirk, and Jeff York. This story about an old stray yeller dog who worms his way into the hearts of a Western family is both endearing and sad.
Although Walt Disney Studios has made many fine movies of the years this movie is still one of the best movies ever made.
One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest
This comedy/Drama about a man who gets himself admitted into a psychiatric hospital to avoid going to jail is considered one of the best movies ever produced by American cinema.
This movie stars Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher. It is the first movie that one all five major categories at the academy awards and you really need to see it to understand why.
On Golden Pond
This is one of the most beautiful love stories ever written. Starring Henry Fonda, Katherine Hepburn and Jane Fonda. It is the story of an elderly couple and their summers on Golden Pond.
The story also tells of a estranged father and daughter who spent a lifetime being unable to connect.
It was Henry Fonda’s last film and one of his very best.
The Dead Poet’s Society
This is about a teacher play by Robin Williams, who returns to the boarding school he had once been a student at to teach English. He is rather an unorthodox teacher and urges the boys to fight the conformity that the school holds in such high regard.
Ethan Hawke’s character in the book is especially good.
Pay it Forward
This movie stars Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey, and Haley Joel Osment. It is the compelling story of a young boy who accepts a class assignment and decides to change the world. Though he feels his idea is a failure it has effects reaching far beyond his imaginings.
Wonderful and sad at the same time. It is a movie with a message.
The Bucket List
This is the comedy/Drama about two men played by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, who find out they have cancer and only have months to live. Bonded by the death sentence that hangs over them the two men decide to accomplish many of the dreams they have put off.
It is a compelling movie and both Nicholson and Freeman give excellent performances. It really brings home the message that even in the midst of death there is still life.
While there are many more movies just waiting to be added to your home video library these six movies are a must have start to any great collection.

Great movies! The only one I would never watch is Old Yeller. I remember crying as a kid at the end of that movie, and I am pretty sure if I saw it again as an adult I would still cry.
