Rajkumar Hirani’s “3 Idiots” is a complete family entertainer. This movie is simply for everyone. If you are a college student then you can easily hang out with all your classmates as well as your professors to view this college life movie (May be it will teach something to your teachers). If you are a family person then you can easily take your kids, your parents, your in-laws- in fact just about everyone to watch this highly entertaining film.
Though named “3 Idiots”, this movie is intellectual in nature. No where could you find anything idiotic or silly associated with it. The movie taps your intelligence and lays stress on the importance of education and of an individual’s choice of career. This movie portrays certain message to its audience and is slightly didactic in its flavor. Yet this is done so subtly and wrapped in such an attractive package of humor, that people just love it while taking note of the message. This movie is unlike any other movies (like Shahrukh Khan’s “My name is Khan”), where the message is portrayed in a serious manner. The producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra realizes that people need to unwind after a daylong at work, hence he wants to give them something that he is good at; that is supplying a thoroughly refreshing movie.
This is the first time that Aamir Khan had been paired opposite Kareena Kapoor. The pair looks quite cute. There is a nice bit of chemistry between them. Kareena is looking unorthodox in reading glasses along with a helmet. The other two heroes are devoid of any leading heroines. Yet, this movie is not a romantic movie, but a comedy movie with a social message attached with it. It wants to tell all the parents to give freedom to their children to choose their right kind of career. A person can only be truly happy if he follows his own vocation and not that dictated by his guardians. The movie also targets the modern colleges of today who are producing just parrot typed students that memorize the lines of the text without actually analyzing them. The producer wants to tell that a person can gain success in his life even without the help of any degrees if he has the support of sound knowledge.
The story line is quite simple. Three friends Rancho (Aamir Khan), Farhan Querashi (R. Madhavan) and Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi) are roommates enrolled in the top engineering college of India. Each has different aspiration in their lives but due to outside pressure they are forced to study there. The students are terrorized by the dean of the university whom they have nicknamed as ViruS (Boman Irani). ViruS is a strict disciplinarian who goes by bookish knowledge and does not appreciate or encourage individual thinking. However, in the course of time he is made to realize his mistakes and works to undo his wrongs. Kareena Kapoor acts the role of Pia, ViruS’ medical student daughter. Their romance remains uncommitted till the climax where it is proved that true knowledge is not dependent on college degrees and a person can earn both fame and wealth just by the power of his brains.
Accompanied by a good music score, tight screenplay and witty dialogues, this movie is a must watch for everyone.

Interesting.
