What I liked about this movie: There were two main things I found interesting about this movie. The first was the mystery surrounding the farmer. It was pretty obvious from the start that he wasn’t quite human and had evil intentions. But, the movie does a decent job of keeping most of the stuff a secret until later in the film.
I also liked the way the movie puts a twist on the story of Genesis and the Garden of Eden and turns it into a modern-day battle of good and evil. It was definitely unique and there just isn’t that many movies out there that offer unique plots.
What I didn’t like about this movie: I wasn’t a fan of all the bible discussions the kid participated in at school. It was just too much of a coincidence that, not only would a public school even discuss the Bible; it seemed to be the ONLY thing they talked about in class.
Final Opinion: Overall, this movie did surprise me. There were some slow parts. But, it ended up being an OK thriller that really made me think a bit too.
My Grade: 4 stars out of a possible 5.
