Synopsis: A movie stuntman and mechanic moonlights as a getaway driver. He tries to keep to himself but, when he falls for his neighbor and her kid, he ends up helping her boyfriend when he gets out of prison.
Who’s in it? Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan and Albert Brooks.
What I liked about this movie: I’m not a huge Gosling fan but have to admit he was pretty decent in this movie. His character didn’t say much (which helped a lot) but he managed to pull off a person who seemed so nice one moment but definitely had the ability to be very violent when needed.
Another thing I think I liked about this film is how it was so quiet throughout but, when the action took place, would suddenly get very loud. That made things like gunshots really stand out and the action was a bit more intense as a result.
What I didn’t like about this movie: While watching it, I got the feeling this movie was nothing more than a budget rip-off of The Transporter and, at no point, did the film make me think differently.
Also, even though the action scenes were entertaining, the overall movie was actually somewhat dull
