Hello fellow movie nuts, today I am reviewing the film Wrecked, starring Adrien Brody. The film is a suspence/thriller of sorts, but ulimately feels like a drawn out episode of “I shouldn’t be alive”, where you cringe through a recount of survival in the face of horrible odds. Aside from scenes of a bewildered girl who may or may not be real, and a dog, Brody is about the one in the movie, oh wait there is a mountain lion, who is just excelent, oscar worthy growling.
There isn’t much to be said about wrecked that cant be said about the film Buried, where Ryan Reynolds struggles to escape a coffin. Brodey crawls and drags himself around, and most of the film is just nature taking shots at him.
(I had about the same look on my face 30 minutes into the movie)
The element that is somewhat interesting is the mystery as to why Brodey awakes in a crashed car. That is the mystery and its a pretty unsuprising twist in the end.
All in all this movie was shot well, well acted and somewhat boring.
