Meaning of Lives

They should lead somewhere or no where in particular inspired by the Monty Python film: The Meaning of Life.

What can life mean when you are born into the world, your placenta is cut and your mother is left on the operating table because giving birth has become big business. You see it is all about having the latest equipment in the operating room and to heck with what the sex of the child is going to be.

It can all begin as one cell that becomes a multiple sac of cells but that is rather bland compared to the universe becoming pregnant with new galaxies been born through some sort of cosmic vagina. One might as well fathom someone calling  to ask for some kind of donation especially when there will always be people canvasing at your door. People will always be begging somewhere and might even exact your life’s blood at another time.

If only your company could draw up its anchor and sail the seven seas like any other good pirate ship. Maybe riches would be redistributed that way as pirate companies would then fight their immobile antagonists by welding sharp corporate insignias! In the meantime children would learn of the sex education first hand and procreate like no tomorrow still with a world where there is never enough food to go around.

Their parents would practice intercourse on the basis of what their parents did and they would still stare out the front window and compare their sexual practices with the next. Babies would continue falling from the sky and their older siblings would be off to market for government experiments.

If you used to fight as an excuse for getting your angst out you might find it exhilirating facing the enemy until your own command causes your premature death. That might even happen over something as ridiculuous as celebrating a birthday in the middle of the trenches. You might then end up with a birthday cake and nobody left alive to celebrate with.

It all sounds extremely far fetched and creepy yet with a Monty Python cast there and a few laughs tucked in. Death is not so fearful when invited in for a glass of wine and the man who explodes his ingested lot is just one of many who never know how to say no when they have had all to much to consume. The ending is lovely with December 25th being every day in the heavens but I wondered why no mention was ever made of the other abode where fires rage.

The meaning might just as well be a very simple fulfillment of a singular task like being happy as a waiter and that is all there is to that. No need for grand philosophical dissertations and interpretations there.
