Malin Akerman Turns 34 Today, May 12
Malin Akerman turns 34 years oldtoday. Malin Akerman was born on May 12, 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden. However, she did not grow up in Sweden. When she was two, her family moved to Canada.
She began her acting career in anepisode of the Canadian TV series“Earth: Final Conflict” in 1997. She continues to do many different TV roles for a few years. Her first movie role was in the movie “The Skulls” (2000), though she only had a very small part. In 2003, Malin had her first starring role in the film “The Utopian Society” as Tanci. In 2005, Malin got a starring role on the short-lived TV series “The Comeback.” After “The Comeback,” Malin appeared in multiple films, including “The Invasion,” “The Brothers Solomon,” “The Heartbreak Kid,”“Heavy Petting” and “27 Dresses.” In 2009, Malin got her big break in the movie “Watchmen” where she played Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre II. Since “Watchmen,” Malin has continued to get biggerroles in the movies she is in. She has been in the films “The Proposal,” “Couples Retreat,” “Happythankyoumoreplease,” “The Romantics,” “The Big Bang Club,” “Catch .44,” “Wanderlust” and “ The Giant Mechanical Man .” Malin also gained a recurring role from 2010-2011 on the TV show “Children’s Hospital.” Advertisement Malin has many films in production that are set to come out later this year or next year. “Rock of Ages” is set to come outJune 15, 2012.
