India’s top hero Shahrukh Khan’s forthcoming movie ‘Ra.One’ has great expectations. Its music was composed byVishal and Shekher have composed the music for the film. Shahrukh was aghast when the entire music album was leaked.
He tweeted, “How sad that someone somewhere has no regard for our labor of love. Five years of hard work and they put it on the net so callously. Extremely sad….”
Indian film industry is plagued by the piracy menace. Film CDs find their way into the market some times even before the release. Production of an Indian film has become pretty expensive because of the high remunerations of stars and technicians apart from other costs. Producers are getting terrible beating as their films are not being watched in the cinemas as CDs are available for hire for as low as Rs. 20 a day. Entire family can watch a new film for Rs. 20 as against ten or twenty times more it might cost them to watch it in a cinema.
State governments are not taking curbing of the piracy menace as the police departments have much more serious problems including terrorism to attend to.
