This Second Movie is the highest grosser of the franchise.The Movie stars Johny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow who is reminded he owes a debt to Davy Jones, who captains the flying Dutchman, a ghostly ship, with a crew from hell. With a Budget of over 225 Million dollars, this movie also made more than a Billion dollars world wide.

8E.T: The Extra-Terrestrial  $435,110,554 

This 1982 movie is one of the Steven Speilberg’s Epic Movies. Made with a budget of about 10 Million dollars, it earned more than 435 million dollars worldwide. It tells the story of a  little boy who finds a stranded extraterrestrial. He has to find the courage to defy the authorities to help the alien return to its home planet. The movie centers on the relationship between the boy and the alien and is beautifully Portrayed.

7. Shrek 2 $441,226,247

Shrek the famous animated movie that appealed both to kids and their parents. It is a 2004 animated film produced by Dreamworks animation and sequel to oscar winning shrek. It opened to great success with scoring second largest 3 day opening weekend at th time and largest for an animated movie. Story moves ahead from first movie where Shrek had rescued Princess Fiona and got married.  Now it  is he time to meet the parents. The Epic is Right here. It is first movie of the Epic series created by George Lucas and entire franchise has made close to 5 Bn dollars worldwide.  Produced with a budget of $11 million and released on May 25, 1977, the film earned $460 million in the United States which was highest at the time.

5Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace $474,544,677

Another Star Wars film. It is the fourth film to be released in the Star Wars saga, as the first of a three-part prequel to the original Star Wars trilogy, as well as the first film in the saga in terms of story chronology. It was also a huge Success worldwide with earning over a Billion dollars at Worldwide box office.

Next on the List is this season’s Blockbusters Avengers. The superhero team-up got off to an unprecedented $207.4 million start in in initial weekend, which obliterates the previous all-time weekend record set by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 last Summer ($169.2 million). It was a result of massive campaign and also the fact that it is a sequel of 5 different movies! It has broken all records and is fastest movie to reach 300 mn, 350 , 400 and 500 million dollars. It reached 500 ms is just 23 days breaking the record of Dark knight. It is all set to pass Dark knight in a day or two and might reach even 600 bn dollars. 3. The Dark Knight $533,345,358

One of the greatest movies of all time with the role of Joker regarded as best ever, The movie back batman to the front row of superheros. Directed by Christopher Nolan, It is a  sequel to 2005’s movie Batman Begins. It stars Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as Joker. This film recieved many Awards and nomination including 2 Academy awards with 8 Nominations. Most notable among the nominations were Heath Ledger’s almost complete sweep of over twenty awards for acting, including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor, the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. The Movie which remained the highest groosing movie for more than 10 years with a differene of over 100 million over second placed movie. The Movie Revolves around a boy and a girl  from differing social backgrounds meet during the ill-fated maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic and fall in love.It was released on December 19, 1997 and achieved critical and commercial success. It was Nominated for fourteen Academy Awards and it won eleven of them including the awards for Best Picture and Best Director, tying Ben Hur (1959) for most Oscars won by a single film. With a worldwide gross of over $2 billion, it was the first film to reach the billion dollar mark, remaining the highest-grossing film of all time for twelve years. It is known for its unpreccendented success with running on 3000 Screens even after 10 weeks of release.

1. Avatar  $760,507,625

Another Cameroon film after Titanic. This movie shattered all the box office records and is the most successful movie at the box office with over 2.75 billion worldwide revenue. Development of Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page treatment for the film. Filming was supposed to began soon after titanic but according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. Work on the language of the film’s extraterrestrial beings began in summer 2005, and Cameron began developing the screenplay and fictional universe in early 2006. Film was finally released in December 2010 to massive critical success.
